Outpatient Centers Make Eye Care Easier, More Affordable

No one wants to think about having eye surgery, but if it’s necessary, we all want it to be quick and painless, both physically and mentally. It doesn’t hurt if the pain is minimal to our pocketbooks, either.
If you are considering, or are already scheduled for:
- Cataract Surgery and Intraocular Lens Implants (IOL)
- YAG Laser Procedure
- Corneal Transplants
- Blepharoplasty/Eyelid Revision Procedures
- Clear Lensectomy
- Insertion of Starr Implantable Contact Lens
- Lid Lift
- Entropion Repair
- Removal of Superficial Skin Lesions
- Laser Procedures for Irodotomy, Capsulotomy and Vitreous Lysis
Then an ambulatory surgery center, or ASC, may be the best option for you. Why? Since the ASC is focused on a limited number of procedures, it’s smaller and easier to get in and out of than a regular hospital. It’s also easier to schedule a procedure, and you’ll only visit one location for registration and the surgery itself.
Also, since an ASC only sees surgical patients, you won’t be exposed to people with unrelated illnesses, and you’re guaranteed compassionate, personal care from the staff. Best of all, since an ASC doesn’t have the overhead of a full-size surgery facility, it can perform your procedure at a much lower cost, but with the same high-quality level of a larger site.
